To S.T., J.B., R.B., and O.S.,

A sign of a life well lived is one that contains a thousand stories. Not just any old story, the ones worth being told. These are the stories you tell strangers at bars, friends at parties, and your children and grandchildren.

Any story worth it’s oxygen, has conflict.

Your life is a story, so act like it. You are the only one who has complete control over what the protagonist does. Only you can tell the story in a way that will do it justice.

Embrace the conflict Life throws your way. Face every challenge head on without fear or hesitation. If you take heed of this advice, your worst days will be your best stories.

Your eldest brother,

D.B.
